Biography

Kudzai Rwizi, well known as Chef Q'udzie, is a prominent figure in Zimbabwe's culinary scene. He brings a youthful and vibrant energy to the country's food culture, particularly in transforming barbecue, into sophisticated fine dining cuisine. From a young age, Chef Qudzie's passion for food fueled his enthusiasm and led him on a culinary journey. At the remarkable age of 22, he conceptualized and launched Zimbabwe's first mobile barbecue restaurant, showcasing his innovative approach to cooking.

To further enhance his culinary skills, Chef Q'udzie sought training and experience under renowned chefs, as well as in hotels and restaurants. This exposure allowed him to refine his techniques, expand his knowledge, and develop his unique culinary style. Chef Qudzie's dedication and talent have earned him recognition both nationally and internationally. He has received numerous culinary awards, showcasing his expertise and creativity in the culinary arts. These accolades reflect his commitment to excellence and his ability to create exceptional dining experiences.
